MCD Partners is looking for an experienced SEO Strategist to lead and shape our growing SEO offering. As we expand our performance marketing capabilities, we’re seeking someone who can not only execute best-in-class SEO strategies, but also help define the future of search at our agency. This role blends deep SEO expertise with a working knowledge of paid media, with a focus on results, insights, and cross-channel performance. You’ll work across a variety of industries, lead client-facing strategies, and help us turn SEO into a core service offering.

What You’ll Do:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Own and execute comprehensive SEO strategies (technical, on-page, and content-focused) to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic
Conduct keyword research to identify high-opportunity queries across the funnel
Optimize site structure, page speed, mobile usability, and crawlability for better indexation and performance
Lead audits, implement SEO best practices, and provide clear roadmaps for improvements
Use tools like Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and others to monitor performance and diagnose issues
Stay up to date with algorithm updates and evolving SEO trends

Paid Media Execution (20–30% of the role)

Support paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, and programmatic platforms
Assist in performance optimization through A/B testing, audience segmentation, and creative testing
Analyze campaign metrics like CTR, CPA, ROAS, and conversion rates to identify opportunities
Collaborate with the paid media team to ensure SEO and PPC efforts work together to maximize total search share

Analytics & Performance Reporting

Build clear, actionable reporting dashboards that track KPIs across organic and paid media

Analyze traffic trends, rankings, and conversions to provide insights that drive continuous improvement
Conduct competitive benchmarking to spot new growth opportunities
Translate performance data into strategic recommendations for internal teams and client stakeholders

Leadership & Collaboration

Act as a key contributor in developing MCD's SEO offering—your voice will help shape our process, tools, and service approach
Collaborate closely with creative, content, and media teams to bring integrated performance marketing strategies to life
Educate internal teams and clients on SEO principles and performance marketing strategy

What You'll Bring:

3–5+ years of hands-on SEO experience with proven results
Experience managing or supporting paid media campaigns (Search, Social, or Programmatic)
Strong knowledge of technical SEO, content strategy, on-page optimization, and backlink analysis
Working knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager
Proficiency with Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and leading SEO tools
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (formulas, pivot tables, lookups)
Strong communication skills—you can explain complex data simply and clearly
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset—you’re excited by the idea of building something new

Bonus Points For:

Experience with schema markup and structured data
Familiarity with Google Data Studio, Tableau, or Power BI for reporting
Knowledge of programmatic platforms like The Trade Desk or DV360
Basic HTML, CSS, or JavaScript knowledge
Industry certifications

What you'll get:

We offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive employer-subsidized beneﬁts package which includes group medical, dental and vision coverage, medical savings accounts, a 401k retirement plan with annual company match, commuter beneﬁts, generous paid time off, discretionary annual bonus, and disability and life insurance policies. Salary is commensurate to experience in the range of $66,000-$72,000. All candidates must have the ability to work in the US; we are unable to sponsor any work visas for this role.
