Website Accessibility Compliance Can No Longer Be An Afterthought
As of June 2025, a new European law, the European Accessibility Act (EAA), requires digital products and services to comply with accessibility standards. At MCD, we've been ensuring our clients are ADA compliant for more than a decade—identifying, fixing and getting ahead of website violations that can result in consequences including lawsuits, decreased customer satisfaction, regulatory scrutiny, and loss of sales.
To give you an idea of just how important this is, 14,000+ website accessibility lawsuits were filed between 2017 and 2022—and those numbers are on the rise. These lawsuits don't just affect the big brands and e-commerce giants, as more than half of the companies hit have been mid-sized brands.
We were among the first creative design agencies to formalize ADA audit and remediation services. From addressing table stakes issues such as lack of keyboard navigation and ambiguous link text, to implementing comprehensive digital accessibility strategies combining testing, code fixes and expert consultation that boosts brands while delivering superior (and compliant) user experiences, we've done it all.
