A light bulb went off when I found myself working alongside developers; architecting information and being an advocate for usability. I found more joy in the design research process and how things worked as opposed to how things looked aesthetically. I was hooked on digital user experience design ever since and I now find joy in collaborative problem solving through user research.

Understand your customer’s experience, intimately. Create a snapshot of the experience from the customer’s point of view with empathy mapping. Use this to gain deeper context and insight on why they may be having issues with an experience, how they may feel, and how best to approach a solution.
